Visual artist, co-publisher of Magazine in Situ. She studied Art at the Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte (IUNA) ex Prilidiano Pueyrredón, Buenos Aires and completed her education with scholarships of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and Fundación Antorchas (Taller de Barracas).
Alicia Herrero investigates the limits of artistic genres in the ideological framework of art narrative in capitalism. Her practices are developing in several media and employ resources and conceptual methods borrowed from art and other practices. Herrero develops ART & CAPITAL series, including: Museum of the Political Economy of Art, Auctions, Market & Money; Public Considerations a Symposium in Three Acts, The Revolutionary Journey!, a navigated novel, Magazine in Situ and LiPac/MasterPlanPlan Laboratory of Investigation in Contemporary Artistic Practices at CCRRojas-Buenos Aires University (UBA).

She has exhibited her works at Modern Museum of Art MAMBA, MALBA and Proa Foundation, Buenos Aires; Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Shedhalle, Zurich; Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst NGBK, Berlín; Austrian Cultural Forum, New York; Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. She has participated in the 8th Mercosul Biennial of Porto Alegre (2011); the X Art Biennial of Bogota; IV Internationella Konstbiennal, Göteborgs; I The End of the World Biennial, Ushuaia; and the V La Habana Biennial, La Habana. During 2011 participated of the "Residency of independant spaces" at Capacete, Säo Paulo/Rio de Janeiro/Belo Horizonte. She has given workshops and lectures in several institutions and organizations: Cittadellarte -Fondazione Pistoletto, Spazio Gerra and Collettivo Sottotetto, Italy; Postgrado en Artes Visuales Contemporáneas, Scola Guignard –Minas Gerais Universidad Estatal, 8ª Biennial of Mercosul and Ateliè 397, Brasil; ACFNYC and Eyebeam, New York, Medialab Prado, Madrid.
