Bill Burns
Biography
Bill
Burns is an artist and animal lover who lives in Toronto. His
work concerning drugs, animals and safety has been published and
exhibited widely.
He
has produced solo projects at the 303 Gallery, New York, Wellcome
Trust, London, England, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art,
Toronto and the Grand Central Art Center, Santa Ana, California.
His
group exhibitions and multi-media projects have shown at Cambridge
University, Cambridge, England, the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam,
the Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea and the Museum of Modern
Art, New York. He is currently producing two solo projects about
birds and animal safety for the ICA in London, England and for
KunstWerke in Berlin.
His
books and multiples and photographs are included in collections
at the Tate Britain in London, the MoMA in New York and the Getty
Center in Los Angeles.
Bill
is currently working with bird songs and bird calls as artist-in-residence
at El Basilisco in Buenos Aires.
